Vivir soñando

DELASIERRA

Latin rock born in Santa Marta, with the Sierra Nevada as its compass and reggae and rocksteady running underneath.

Founder

Wenche Delasierra

Wenche Delasierra is a Colombian musician and songwriter, born in Santa Marta. That's where the project's mystique comes from — a direct connection to the Sierra that comes through in every song.

He's self-taught: he found his own sound through trial and error, fusing Latin American musical heritage with reggae and rocksteady.

He tells stories through his lyrics and gives everything at every show — that's where it shows the most.

Delasierra live: saxophones and guitar on stage

Our thing is the show

Our show

Delasierra was born to take on big festivals. Our music mixes messages that matter with rhythms that build live atmospheres, full of camaraderie and a real sense of unity with whoever's on the other side of the stage. Six musicians live, songs of our own, and a single goal every night: high vibration, high energy release.

Timeline

Our story

  1. 2020 – 2021

This all started in lockdown, in the middle of the pandemic. The uncertainty and loneliness of those months turned into fuel — our first album, Corazón de Madera, came out of it.

  2. 2022

That year we dreamed of having a real band. The first musicians arrived, we put a team together, and started rehearsing and playing small bars around the city. At the same time we recorded Tierra de Jaguares, with collaborations that turned out to be decisive.

  3. 2023

The album worked and our audience grew fast. The first sold-out shows came, the first concerts outside the city, and by then we had a sound of our own you could recognize. That year we also released the EP Delasierra y Los Ministros del Rocksteady.

  4. 2024

We bet on grants, public funding, and district festivals. IDARTES became our best ally and we made it to the country's biggest festival. We released our third album, Solsticio & Equinoccio.

  5. 2025

A hard year: we had to leave the country and put the project on hold for six months. Even so, far from home, we got one of the best news we've ever had — Viejo hit number one on Radiónica.

  6. 2026

We came back hungrier than ever. New songs, several festivals, champions of Día de Rock, and now we're getting ready for the Boom showcases.

August 2025 · Radiónica 99.1 FM

"Viejo" hit number one on Radiónica’s Top 50

That same year, the song made its screen debut on the soundtrack of the Colombian-Spanish film Por qué nadie me lo dijo, which is still touring international film festivals.

Unstoppable collaborations

Who we've played with

Tierra de Jaguares

ft. Andrea Echeverry

It was song of the week four weeks in a row on LAUD Estéreo and hit number one on Radiónica's Top 25. It's the most important collaboration in our catalog — today it's past half a million streams on Spotify.

Fotosíntesis

ft. Kiño

Our most-streamed song on Spotify, with a million and a half plays. It landed on reggae charts from the day it dropped and ended up shaping the direction of our sound. Produced by Kiño, it's the anthem for the people who follow us today.

Aurora

ft. Los Gaiteros de San Jacinto

A collaboration we're genuinely proud of: four generations carrying Colombian Caribbean folk music around the world. Produced by Leonardo Castiblanco at LACH studio.

Al Despertar

ft. Madeiro

Produced at Madeiro Entertainment by Jose Madeiro, winner of Factor X 2021. It was under consideration by the Latin Grammy's Latin American academy, and today it's one of our most-played songs.
